แนะนำ Sketchup Plugin ที่น่าสนใจ

Plugin คือ คำสั่งที่เขียนเสริมความสามารถของ Sketchup ให้ทำงานได้ง่ายขึ้น ส่วนมากจะเขียนด้วย Sketchup Ruby

แหล่งรวมรวม Sketchup Plugin จะมีดังนี้ คือ

• Ruby Depot
• Smudstard

แต่พบว่าผู้ใช้ Sketchup ไม่เข้าใจวิธีติดต้ัง และการใช้งาน plugin เนื่องจากเว็บที่กล่าวมาข้างต้นไม่ได้บอกไว้
ผมเลยขอแนะนำ วิธีติดต้ัง และการใช้งาน plugin ที่มีประโยชน์

Sketchup 2013 หรือ 2014

1. พิมพ์
   %appdata%
   แล้วกดปุ่ม Enter
   จะมี file explorer แสดงขึ้นมา เลื่อนลงมาที่โฟลเดอร์
   SketchUp\SketchUp 20xx\SketchUp\Plugins
2. ย้ายไฟล์ rb มาที่ folder
   C:\Users\**your_user**\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 20xx\SketchUp\Plugins
   
3. Run Sketchup 20xx
4. Menu>Plugins

Sketchup 2014 ออกมาแล้ว มีการปรับปรุงครั้งใหญ่ทีรอกันมานาน เช่น

ใช้ Ruby 2.0

Sketchup 2014 ใช้ Ruby 2.0 ในการพัฒนา plugins พร้อมให้ Ruby Standard Library มาครบ ทำให้การพัฒนา plugins สะดวกกว่าเดิม สามารถใช้ตัวอย่าง Ruby จากเว็บอื่นๆมาดัดแปลงใช้งานได้ทันที

ย้ายโฟลเดอร์ Plugins ไปไว้ใน Appdata

มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่สำคัญคือ ย้ายโฟลเดอร์ Plugins ไปไว้ใน Appdata เพื่อลดปัญหาการเขียนข้อมูลลงในไฟล์ไม่ได้ จากระบบ Security ของ Windows
แล้ว โฟลเดอร์ Appdata อยู่ที่ไหนล่ะ???

• ให้ไปที่ Start แล้วพิมพ์ %appdata% แล้ว Enter
• มองหาโฟลเดอร์ Sketchup ให้พบก่อน แล้วไล่ลงไปเรื่อยๆ จะพบโฟลเดอร์ Plugins
• C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins

ท่านก็สามารถติดตั้ง Plugin ต่างๆได้ตามแบบเดิม แต่อาจจะมีบางคำสั่งต้องไปแก้ไขบ้าง

This Ruby will count Bill of Quantities (BOQ) from Components, Materials and Named Groups in Sketchup file.

*****Material which use as mirror must start with Translucent*****
*****program will count only front face area ******"

How to install

Step 1. Download file boq2csv1.zip

Click at Google Drive Menu File > Download

Step 2.

Unzip into folder C:\

Finally, you will have folder C:\myruby


Step 3. Install according to Sketchup version

Open folder C:\myruby you will see subfolders

• 32bit
• 64bit

Select folder depend on your Windows installed.

in selected folder will have 3 .bat files

• setup_v7.bat
  for Sketchup version 7
• setup_v8.bat
  for Sketchup version 8
• setup_2013.bat
  for Sketchup version 2013

Double click a bat file according to installed Sketchup version
(you can install as much as your installed Sketchup version in your machine.)

How to use

Step 1.
Run Sketchup and open skp file that you want to take BOQ.

Step 2.
Select entities that you want to take BOQ.

Step 3.
Go to Menu Plugins > BOQ to CSV

Step 4.
Text file boq.csv will be displayed.

You can save it to another name and import into spread sheet program like

• Libre Office
• Open Office
• Excel

Step 5.
Close a Message box.
